Legislation in the Mediterranean basin is not sistemized in
a "macro legislation": each State has its own rules.
Nevertheless, in the European Union there exists a legislative
harmony. In order to analize the legislative situation in the
Mediterranean basin, the Observatory has divided the legislation
in five sections.
